On 25 August 2025, the National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) issued the domestic online game approval list for August 2025, authorising 166 titles across categories, including move, client, mobile, and mobile-casual puzzle. The approvals covered a diverse range of content, including role-playing titles such as Beacon Fires Looking at Chang’an and Dream of Immortality, action and competitive games such as Super Fighter, Crazy Battle, and Legend of the Sword of God, and casual puzzle formats such as Juicy Stormtroopers, Treasure Aquarium, and Basketball Legend. Sports-themed works were also included, among them Top Football Manager, NBA Championship Dynasty, and Table Tennis Superstar Showdown. The list featured franchise continuations and adaptations such as Talking Tom 2, Fights Break Sphere: Road to the Emperor, and A Mortal’s Journey to Immortality: Journey to the Starry Sea, alongside original intellectual property. Publishing and operating units represented in the approvals included Zhejiang Publishing Group Digital Media, Jiangsu Phoenix Electronic Audio-visual Publishing, Guangdong Audio and Video Publishing, and Shenzhen Zhongqingbao Interactive Network. The authorisations extended to mobile-only releases, combined mobile and client formats, and a console title with Star Embers: Candles Shining on Mountains and Seas for PlayStation 5.
