China: Cyberspace Administration of China issued filing information for generative AI services (April to June 2025)

On 11 July 2025, the Cyberspace Administration of China implemented an order to record generative AI services, following the guidelines of the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services." Between April and June 2025, 93 new generative AI services completed the recording process. Local cyberspace administrations registered 77 generative AI applications or features that use existing model capabilities via API interfaces. By 30 June 2025, a total of 439 generative AI services were recorded, while 233 applications or features completed registration. Furthermore, generative AI applications or functions already online are required to prominently display the filing or registration information of the generative artificial intelligence services used, including the model’s name, filing number, or launch number, on their respective product details pages.
