China: TC260 opened consultation on Guidelines on Identification Methods for AI-Generated Synthetic Video Content

On 24 June 2025, the National Technical Committee (TC260) opened a public consultation on the Cybersecurity Standard Practice Guide—Identification Methods for AI-Generated Synthetic Video Content until 6 July 2025. The draft technical guide, linked to the mandatory national standard GB 45438-2025 Cybersecurity Technology Identification Methods for AI-Generated Synthetic Content, provides file metadata implicit identification methods for AI-generated synthetic video content across different formats and metadata schemes. It is intended to guide AI-generated synthetic video content service providers and network information content dissemination service providers.
