China: TC260 closed consultation on Guidelines on Identification Methods for AI-Generated Synthetic Video Content

On 6 July 2025, the National Technical Committee (TC260) closed the public consultation on the Cybersecurity Standard Practice Guide—Identification Methods for AI-Generated Synthetic Video Content. The consultation focuses on the draft technical guide, which is based on the mandatory national standard GB 45438-2025 Cybersecurity Technology—Identification Methods for AI-Generated Synthetic Content. The guide details metadata implicit identification methods for AI-generated synthetic video content across various formats and metadata schemes. It is intended to guide AI-generated synthetic video content service providers and network information content dissemination service providers.
