United States of America: Budget reconciliation Bill 2025 (One Big Beautiful Bill Act/HR 1) including authorisation of goods and services was introduced to House of Representatives

On 20 May 2025, the United States House of Representatives introduced Section 43101 under subtitle B of the budget reconciliation Bill, renewing the authority of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to auction licenses for the use of specific frequencies through 30 September 2034. The proposal mandates identifying a minimum of 600 megahertz spectrum from existing allocations for reallocation to non-Federal, exclusive use within two years of Subtitle B's enactment. At least 200 megahertz must be auctioned within three years of the title's enactment, and auctioning must be complete within six years.
