Description

Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) Forum launched the Global CBPR and privacy recognition for processors system

On 2 June 2025, the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) Forum launched the Global CBPR and Global Privacy Recognition for Processors (PRP) System. It was highlighted that certified organisations, listed in the Forum’s compliance directory, are now permitted to display the Global CBPR and Global PRP certification marks, signifying adherence to the internationally recognised data protection and privacy standards outlined in the respective program requirements. Organisations seeking certification must engage with Global CBPR Forum-recognised Accountability Agents (AAs) to initiate the process and ensure compliance with the established criteria.
