Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum announced launch of Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules and Privacy Recognition for Processors certification systems

On 28 May 2025, the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) Forum announced that the CBPR and Privacy Recognition for Processors (PRP) certification systems would launch on 2 June 2025. These certifications are designed to enable organisations to demonstrate compliance with consistent baseline data protection and privacy requirements through assessments conducted by approved Accountability Agents (AAs), with the aim of facilitating secure cross-border data flows.
