Brazilian Federal Senate passed Bill amending Law No. 13.756/2018 to restrict betting advertising (Bill No. 2985)
On 28 May 2025, the Federal Senate approved Bill No. 2985 of 2023, which proposes amendments to Law No. 13.756 of 12 December 2018 concerning fixed-odds betting lotteries. The Bill would introduce a prohibition on communication, advertising, and promotional activities related to betting services. Following Senate approval, the Bill will proceed to the Chamber of Deputies for further deliberation.
