Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 (SB 754) including cybersecurity regulation was introduced to Senate

On 17 March 2015, the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015 (SB 754) was introduced to the Senate. The Bill would authorise private entities to monitor and voluntarily share information on cybersecurity threats and defensive measures with the federal government. It would require the Department of Homeland Security to establish a real-time intake and dissemination mechanism, mandate privacy safeguards for shared information, and limit government use to specified cybersecurity and criminal purposes. The Bill would also provide liability protection for private entities acting in accordance with the Act and call for enhanced federal cybersecurity and workforce assessments.
