Description

Communications Regulatory Authority adopted Order requiring disabling of access to Casacinema over continued copyright violations (N0. 64/25/DDA)

On 9 May 2025, the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority (AGCOM) issued an Order under the Regulation concerning the protection of copyright on electronic communication networks. The Order requires updating the list of disabled domains to include https://casacinema.living. The action followed a report by the Federation for the Protection of Audiovisual and Multimedia Content Industries (FAPAV) on behalf of Vision Distribution S.p.A., indicating a reiteration of copyright violations previously addressed by AGCOM's Order. The Order mandates the disabling of access to the domain and any subsequent alias sites that provide unauthorised access to copyrighted digital works, as stipulated by Law No. 633/41 on the protection of copyright and neighbouring rights. The Order requires compliance within two days of notification.
