China: Ministry of Commerce concludes of suspension dual-use export control order on 16 US companies reintroducing restrictions

Description

Ministry of Commerce concludes of suspension dual-use export control order on 16 US companies reintroducing restrictions

On 12 August 2025, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce is scheduled to reinstate export control measures on 16 US entities previously listed under Announcement No. 21 of 2025. The original measures prohibit the export of dual-use items to the designated entities, citing national security concerns and non-proliferation obligations. Following the end of the 90-day suspension period, exporters seeking to engage in transactions with these entities will again be required to obtain individual authorisations from the Ministry of Commerce, subject to case-by-case review and approval in accordance with applicable regulations.
