Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission opened consultation on inquiry on unfair and anticompetitive practices in live ticketing

On 7 May 2025, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) initiated a public consultation as part of their joint inquiry into unfair and anti-competitive practices in the live concert and entertainment ticketing industry until 7 July 2025. The inquiry aims to gather information that will inform potential regulations or legislation designed to protect consumers and restore competitive markets, as directed by Presidential Executive Order 14254.
