China: Ministry of Industry and Information Technology closes consultation on industry standards for the communications industry

On 29 May 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) closes its public consultation on 20 proposed industry standards for the communications sector. The standards cover areas such as cloud governance, IoT data management, SD-WAN network security, data centre infrastructure, and healthcare robotics. Specific standards include YD/T 6518-2025 for architecture and identification coding in open and shared IoT data systems, YD/T 6519-2025 for capability maturity level requirements in enterprise cloud governance, YD/T 6514-2025 for technical requirements for network-side gateways in SD-WAN based on SRv6, YD/T 6515-2025 for evaluation methods for intelligent operation and maintenance of data centre infrastructure, and YD/T 6516-2025 for general technical requirements for remote ultrasound diagnostic robots.
