China: Ministry of Industry and Information Technology opened consultation on industry standards for the communications industry

On 29 April 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) opened a public consultation until 29 May 2025 on 20 industry standards in the communications sector. The standards cover areas such as cloud governance, IoT data management, SD-WAN network security, data centre infrastructure, and healthcare robotics. Specific standards include YD/T 6518-2025 for architecture and identification coding in open and shared IoT data systems, YD/T 6519-2025 for capability maturity level requirements in enterprise cloud governance, YD/T 6514-2025 for technical requirements for network-side gateways in SD-WAN based on SRv6, YD/T 6515-2025 for evaluation methods for intelligent operation and maintenance of data centre infrastructure, and YD/T 6516-2025 for general technical requirements for remote ultrasound diagnostic robots.
