European Union: Council adopted decision authorising European Commission to sign EU-Singapore Digital Trade Agreement (DTA)

On 14 April 2025, the Council of the European Union adopted the decision Decision on the signing, on behalf of the Union, of the Digital Trade Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Singapore. The decision authorises the Commission to sign the agreement on behalf of the EU. The Agreement establishes rules for digital trade between the countries and aims to facilitate cross-border data flows and digitally enabled trade in goods and services.
