On 11 April 2025, the National Commission for Informatics and Liberties (CNIL) published recommendations for projects supported through its sandbox initiative, focusing on AI and public services. The document provides recommendations for three projects: "Conseils Personnalisés" by France Travail, "Ekonom’IA" by Nantes Métropole, and "PRIV-IA" by the RATP. For "Conseils Personnalisés," the CNIL emphasised ensuring human intervention to avoid automated decisions, minimising data to enhance result relevance, and preventing biases that could lead to discrimination. The "Ekonom’IA" project received guidance on determining the legal basis for data access, anonymising or pseudonymising data to respect ethical standards, and ensuring transparency in AI processes. The RATP's "PRIV-IA" project was advised on the use of "time-of-flight" sensors, evaluating the anonymity of data treatments, and ensuring compliance with statistical purposes while minimising data collection.
