European Union: European Commission opened consultation on Apply AI Strategy

On 9 April 2025, the European Commission's Artificial Intelligence Office opened a public consultation and call for evidence, open until 4 June 2025, on its forthcoming Apply AI Strategy. The Strategy, expected to be published in Q3 2025, aims to accelerate the adoption of AI across strategic sectors of the EU economy, boosting industrial competitiveness and the quality of public services. The consultation invites input from industry, civil society, public authorities, and other stakeholders to identify barriers and policy options for promoting AI uptake in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, aerospace, agri-food, energy, and healthcare. It also seeks feedback on challenges in implementing the EU AI Act, including how the Commission and Member States can better support stakeholders in applying the Regulation.
