On 15 August 2018, Law No. 175 of 2018 on Anti-Cyber and Information Technology Crimes entered into force. The law requires service providers to preserve and store data related to information systems for 180 days, maintain confidentiality, and secure data against unauthorised access or damage (Article 2). It also criminalises unauthorised access, hacking, and other cybercrimes, with penalties ranging from imprisonment to fines (Articles 13-22).
