Kenya: Ministry of Interior and National Administration closed consultation on Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes (Critical Information Infrastructure and Cybercrime Management) Draft Regulations, 2023

On 22 September 2023, the Ministry of Interior and National Administration will close the public consultation period for the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes (Critical Information Infrastructure and Cybercrime Management) Draft Regulations, 2023, which commenced on 29 August 2023. During the consultation, stakeholders and the public were invited to review and provide feedback on the draft regulations, which aim to establish frameworks for cybersecurity threat monitoring, Critical Information Infrastructure protection, and cybercrime management. The feedback collected will inform the finalisation of the regulations, which seek to enhance coordination, collaboration, and shared responsibility among stakeholders in the cybersecurity sector, including critical infrastructure protection.
