Vietnam: State Bank issues mobile money licences

On 1 December 2021, the State Bank of Vietnam, the country's central bank, announced that it issued mobile money licences to three applicants, all major telecommunications providers in Vietnam. Users of the telecommunications services of these providers will be able to make payment using their telecommunications account as part of the country's mobile money pilot program, which was approved in March 2021.
