EU and Brazil published joint statement following 13th Digital Dialogue

On 12 February 2025, the European Union (EU) and the Brazilian Government adopted a joint statement during the 13th Digital Dialogue in Brussels. The EU and Brazil reaffirmed their commitment to digital cooperation by addressing areas such as AI governance, online safety, digital connectivity and the data economy. Both sides endorsed a joint work plan for the next 2 years and underlined the importance of inclusive digital transformation, transparency and respect for fundamental rights in digital regulation. They also agreed to cooperate on digital governance, multilateral engagement on global digital policy, and the promotion of open-source technologies.
