Costa Rica concludes accession process to the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA)

On 24 January 2025, Chile, New Zealand, Singapore and Korea announced the substantial conclusion of negotiations for Costa Rica’s accession to the Digital Economy Partnership (DEPA). An Accession Working Group confirmed Costa Rica’s ability to meet the DEPA’s technical standards and commitments to digital trade.The DEPA Parties will now work with Costa Rica to formally and administratively finalise its accession process.
