United Kingdom: Closed consultation on CMA investigation into the acquisition of HashiCorp by IBM

On 16 January 2025, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) closes its public consultation on the proposed acquisition of HashiCorp by IBM. The CMA examined whether the transaction would result in a relevant merger situation under the Enterprise Act 2002 and whether it could substantially lessen competition in the UK market. CMA invited stakeholders to submit written comments on the competition issues related to the transaction.
