Opened consultation on CMA investigation into the acquisition of HashiCorp by IBM

On 30 December 2024, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) opened a public consultation as part of its investigation into the proposed acquisition of HashiCorp by IBM until 16 January 2025. The CMA is examining whether the transaction will result in a relevant merger situation under the Enterprise Act 2002 and whether it could substantially lessen competition in the UK market. CMA invited stakeholders to submit written comments on the competition issues related to the transaction.
