Algeria: Executive Decree No. 22-369 amending Decree No. 22-39 on setting the conditions for issuing the general authorisation for electronic communications services entered into force

On 15 April 2023, the Prime Minister Executive Decree No. 22-369 amending Executive Decree No. 22-39 on setting the conditions for issuing the general authorisation for the establishment, operation and/or provision of electronic communications services to the public as well as the amounts of financial compensation, royalties and the related annual contribution, has been implemented. The amendment specifically modified Article 19 of Decree No. 22-39, extending the deadline for holders of valid authorisations to comply with the new regulations. Originally, authorisation holders had six months from the publication of Decree No. 22-39 to comply.
