Cabinet order establishing National AI Office entered into force
On 12 December 2024, the National AI Office (NAIO) was launched as the central authority for the governance of artificial intelligence. The NAIO will set strategic directions, guide policymaking, drive research and development, and address regulatory concerns related to AI, with the goal of positioning Malaysia as a leading regional hub.
