Description

Competition Authority closed investigation into Foodora following compliance with remedial measures

On 10 December 2025, the Norwegian Competition Authority closed its investigation into Foodora, a food delivery platform, lifting measures that state it may not have exclusive agreements with restaurants on its platform. Foodora agreed to comply with this ruling issued on 18 January 2022 and stated it would take remedial measures not to enter into such agreements. These measures had a duration of three years, and so expire on this date. The Authority has previously noted the platform's dominant position in the food delivery market, and that exclusive agreements may result in a violation of the Competition Act. In support of the decision to not renew the measures, the Authority noted the growth of Wolt as a competitor moderating Foodora's competitive dominance.
