Competition Authority issued ruling following investigation into Foodora

On 18 January 2022, the Norwegian Competition Authority issued a ruling in its investigation into Foodora, a food delivery platform, stating it may not have exclusive agreements with restaurants on its platform. Foodora agreed to comply with this ruling and stated it would take remedial measures not to enter into such agreements. These measures have a duration of three years and will run through till 17 January 2025. The Authority noted the platform's dominant position in the food delivery market and that exclusive agreements may result in a violation of the Competition Act.
