On 3 December 2024, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced a proposed consent order in relation to an investigation into IntelliVision Technologies Corporation for alleged mispresentation around the accuracy and bias of its AI-powered facial recognition software. Under the proposed order, IntelliVision will be prohibited from mispresenting its software’s accuracy or bias, following FTC allegations that the company lacked sufficient evidence to substantiate its assertion of "one of the highest accuracy rates on the market and zero gender or racial bias."
