Canada: Opened consultation on CRTC measures for enhancing customer notification for wireless and internet services (2024-293)

On 22 November 2024, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) opened the public consultation on enhancing customer notification for wireless and internet services until 9 January 2025. The consultation aims to improve the information Canadians receive from their service providers regarding their contracts and promotional offers. Specifically, the consultation seeks to address the introduction of a mandatory 90-day notice before the expiry of fixed-term contracts, international roaming notifications, and notices regarding time-limited discounts or promotions.
