Announced lawsuit against TikTok over alleged failure to delete online content classified as illegal

On 21 August 2024, a public lawsuit was filed against TikTok Pte. Ltd. (case No. 12-1882/2024) in the Justice of the Peace in the Tagansky District of Moscow. The platform allegedly violated Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offences pertains to the failure of a website owner or an owner of an information resource within the information and telecommunications network "Internet" to remove information or an Internet page when obligated to do so under the legislation.
