Adopted upgraded Singapore-Germany mutual recognition agreement for recognition of cybersecurity labels

On 16 October 2024, Singapore's Cyber Security Agency (CSA) and Germany's Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community adopted a mutual recognition arrangement for the recognition of cybersecurity labels. The arrangement builds on a previous agreement from 2022 and includes devices like cameras, speakers, and health trackers. The arrangement allows smart consumer products certified with Germany’s IT security label and Singapore’s cybersecurity label to be recognised in both countries. CSA will acknowledge products with the German label as meeting level 2 requirements of Singapore's cybersecurity labelling scheme for the Internet of Things (CLS IoT), while Germany will recognise products labelled at CLS IoT level 2 and above.
