China: Published findings from special campaign Clear and Bright 2024 Summer Internet Environment Improvement for Minors

On 9 October 2024, the Cyberspace Administration of China published its findings from their special campaign, Clear and Bright 2024 Summer Internet Environment Improvement for Minors. The initiative was aimed at improving the online environment for minors by targeting harmful content across various online platforms. Key actions included removing millions of pieces of harmful content, shutting down thousands of websites, and addressing issues such as toxic videos, online bullying, criminal activities such as remote molestation, illegal product sales, and non-compliant apps targeting minors. Further, the initiative enhanced content review standards.
