On 10 October 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) announced the guidelines for identifying important data in the telecommunications field and opened a public consultation until 17 October 2024. In particular, the guidelines outline a proposed amendment to the industry standard.
