Description

Announced FTC lawsuit against Ecommerce Empire Builders for alleged false claims on AI-powered Ecommerce empire

On 18 September 2024, the Federal Trade Commission initiated a lawsuit against Ecommerce Empire Builders (EEB) for alleged false claims on AI-powered Ecommerce empire. The FTC alleges that EEB misled consumers into believing they could create an AI-powered Ecommerce empire through costly training programs or pre-built online storefronts. EEB allegedly promised significant profits but failed to deliver, with many consumers reporting minimal earnings and difficulty obtaining refunds. The EEB's marketing claimed clients could earn USD 10'000 monthly without evidence to support these assertions. FTC requested the court to temporarily halt the operations and appoint a receiver to oversee it.
