Description

Implemented Telecommunications Law (No. 24/2023/QH15) including registration requirements

On 1 January 2025, the Telecommunications Law (No. 24/2023/QH15) came into force. The law mandates that businesses engaged in the provision of telecommunications services must register and declare the types of services they offer, in addition to meeting the specific conditions laid out by the government. The notification of service provision entails the declaration of the types of services provided and the disclosure of information pertaining to their quality. The Law also classifies data centres, cloud computing, and over-the-top (OTT) services as distinct types of telecom services. Enterprises offering these services must follow registration procedures, which will be further clarified by the government.
