Adopted ACM Amended Guidelines on the Digital Services Act (DSA) for providers of online services

On 12 September 2024, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) adopted its amended guidelines on the Digital Services Act (DSA) for providers of online services. The guidelines outline obligations for services under the Digital Services Act (DSA), which took effect on 17 February 2024 and clarify the rules that providers of these services must follow, and how they can comply. The guidelines explain DSA requirements for digital service providers. As a result of a previous round of consultations, the ACM has added a range of additional information, including, for example, additional explanation of how to determine whether a service is directed at minors, additional examples of practices qualifying as dark patterns, and clarification of transparency requirements.
