Ratified UK’s Accession Protocol to the CPTPP
On 29 August 2024, the UK's accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) was fully ratified following Peru's ratification. The CPTPP contains numerous provisions affecting the digital economy, including, for example, chapters on e-commerce and telecommunications. The agreement will enter into force for the UK on 15 December 2024.
