Mexico: Opened Consultation on Draft Modification of Guidelines for the Marketing of Mobile Services by Virtual Mobile Operators

On 9 August 2024, the Federal Telecommunications Institute initiated a public consultation regarding the Draft Modification of Guidelines for the Marketing of Mobile Services by Virtual Mobile Operators. The Draft Modification seeks to establish mechanisms in the event of a Virtual Mobile Operator's permanently suspending services without migration of end users to another service. The Draft Modification aims to ensure the protection of user rights in such cases. The consultation closes on 5 September 2024.
