Signed Protocol upgrading the China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement

On 7 December 2023, China and Singapore signed the protocol to upgrade the 2008 China-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (CSFTA). This upgrade in the bilateral CSFTA adds a chapter on telecommunication services and includes new rules on market access, transparency, and the digital economy, among others. The upgraded agreement has to be ratified by both parties before coming into force.
