Published ASD Secure-by-Design Foundations

On 31 July 2024, the Cyber Security Center (ACSC) of the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) published an updated guidance on “Secure-by-Design Foundations” to assist technology manufacturers and consumers on developing and using secure digital products and services. In particular, the guidance identifies the main risks, focus areas, and benefits of six secure-by-design foundations including holistic secure organization, early and sustained security, secure product development, testing, continuous assurance, and secure deprecation.
