United States of America: Implemented Delaware Artificial Intelligence Commission Act (HB 333)

On 17 July 2024, the Artificial Intelligence Commission Act (HB 333) entered into force following its signing into law by the Governor of Delaware. The Act establishes the Delaware Artificial Intelligence (AI) Commission, tasked with making recommendations to the General Assembly and the Department of Technology and Information on AI utilisation and safety within the state. The Commission has to conduct an inventory of all Generative AI usage within Delaware's executive, legislative, and judicial agencies, identifying high-risk areas for the implementation of Generative AI. The Act stipulates that the Commission will terminate 10 years from enactment unless extended by the General Assembly.
