Closed ESMA consultation on digital finance

On 1 August 2021, the Call for evidence on digital finance is closed by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). In particular, the consultation requested information on three topics: (1) the fragmentation of value chains, arising by the increasing reliance on third parties' services by financial and technology firms; (2) the access to financial services through digital platforms and the practice of bundling financial services from different firms; (3) the mixed activity commercial groups providing both financial and non-financial services.
