On 8 May 2024, the sections of the Bill for the Act Concerning Consumer Protections in Interactions with Artificial Intelligence Systems (SB 24-205) related to design requirements have been rejected. The Bill would have required artificial intelligence (AI) developers, including those of general-purpose models, to label outputs as synthetic digital content. Furthermore, the Bill would have required deployers to inform consumers if AI systems, including general-purpose models, generate or alter synthetic digital content.
