Issued Chinese Taipei Notice on Participation in Global CAPE

On 9 May 2024, the National Communications Commission (NCC) issued a notice regarding its participation in the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum and its acceptance to the Global Cooperation Arrangement for Privacy Enforcement (Global CAPE). Confirmation and approval of the application were received from the Global CAPE administrator. The Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) Forum aims to foster trusted data flows and eliminate unnecessary barriers in digital trade. The Global CAPE was established with the aim of facilitating cross-border data transfers and providing mutual assistance and cooperation between jurisdictions to effectively combat illegal activities and prevent infringements.
