European Union: Issued EBA draft technical standards for handling complaints received by issuers of asset reference tokens

On 13 March 2024, the European Banking Authority (EBA) issued the final draft of the Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) for handling complaints received by issuers of asset reference tokens (ARTs). The draft RTS, developed in cooperation with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), set out requirements for complaints management policy, provision of information to ART holders, and procedures for investigating complaints. The RTS enter into force on the twentieth day after the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
