Closed consultation on EBA draft technical standards for handling complaints received by issuers of asset reference tokens

On 12 October 2023, the European Banking Authority (EBA) closed its consultation on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) for handling complaints received by issuers of asset reference tokens (ARTs). The draft RTS, developed in cooperation with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), aim to ensure complaint handling by holders of ARTs in an effective and transparent manner. The draft RTS outline requirements for complaints management policy, provision of information to ART holders, and procedures for investigating complaints.
