Republic of Korea: Consultation consultation on partial revision of Personal Information Impact Assessment Performance Guide

On 22 March 2024, the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) closed the public consultation on the Proposed Revision Notice of Personal Information Impact Assessment Performance Guide. The revision aims to reflect changes and maintain consistency between personal information protection measures stipulated in laws and the evaluation field of personal information impact assessment. Specifically, the revision seeks to integrate amendments made to the Personal Information Protection Act by Law No. 19234, which entered into force on 15 September 2023 and the draft amendments to its Enforcement Decree that entered into force on 1 January 2024.
