Russia: Terminated Roskomandzor order No. 168 amending criteria for including website to prohibited resources registry

On 1 September 2029, the validity of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) order No. 168 expired. The order established criteria for including domain names and page indexes of sites in the prohibited resources registry containing information whose distribution is prohibited in Russia. Specifically, websites disseminating content related to methods of circumventing access restrictions within the state, including information on accessing prohibited resources, support for the use of blocking circumvention technologies, or offers to use or purchase them, were included in the prohibited resources registry and subject to blocking.
