Implemented Roskomandzor order No. 168 amending criteria for including website to prohibited resources registry

On 1 March 2024, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) order No. 168, amending the criteria for including websites in the prohibited resources registry, entered into force. The order establishes criteria for including domain names and page indexes of sites containing information whose distribution is prohibited in Russia. Specifically, websites disseminating content related to methods of circumventing access restrictions within the state, including information on accessing prohibited resources, support for the use of blocking circumvention technologies, or offers to use or purchase them, will be included in the prohibited resources registry and subject to blocking. The order remains valid until 1 September 2029.
